Innovation
We provide innovative support for Career Path and Continuing Professional Development to deliver effective results through a dynamic blend of workshops, we-enabled learning, mentoring and assignment work. All input can be clearly based on appraisals carried out by their organizations, competency frameworks training need analyses and personal development goals which are agreed with participants at the Initial Workshop to build understanding and commitment.
Workshop & Web programs can be individually structured to start / run over any period of time - typically from 3 to 24 months - dependant on client requirements.
Workbooks and Assignments are created by delegates as they work through their training programs and are supported by email/phone-based mentoring from tutors and office support. Programs provide documented management systems that are utilized to support accreditation to corporate competency schemes and/or external professional qualifications.
Performance is closely monitored through our learning management system plus regular progress reviews to ensure that delegates and client management can follow progress and know exactly where they are at any time. CPD2 also provide access to a wide range of e-briefings on a range of management subjects to encourage the development of individual interests and provide a ready source of valuable information.
As a corporate example, over several years Company Y has run a middle-manager training scheme involving 4 two-day courses spread over 12 months.
This has worked well in the past, but work pressures are now increasingly fragmenting the training, making it difficult to take people out of their jobs and also justifying the associated travel/accommodation costs.
CPD2 Ltd has re-designed the program so that delegates can attend a mix of half and one day workshops (which have been linked to existing meetings) plus complete web-enabled sessions and assignment work to ensure that knowledge acquisition is better paced and does not take up so much face-to-face training time.
There is also the opportunity to complete slightly more input and achieve the ILM Certificate in First Line Management.
The impact of this approach is that people learn more, training is linked more closely to jobs, knowledge retention is far higher, there are many more opportunities for work-based improvements, costs are down, disruption is reduced and there is a new employee benefit of a management qualification.
