The Business & Operational Planning Module is the second of a 5 part middle-management training program developed for the Hospitality Industry covering the topics of:
- Customer Focus
- Business & Operational Planning
- Performance Improvement
- Developing People
- Managing Customers Expectations & Satisfaction
At this stage in the Training Program all delegates would have attended an initial workshop to:
i) Introduce the proactive Workshop & Web approach including the personal workbook.
- Confirmed the commitment of individuals to their Personal Development Plans (PDP).
- Demonstrated how to benefit from both Workshop and Web elements and how to get on line.
- Introduced the first module on Customer Focus
ii) Completed the Customer Focus web-sessions, practical work and face-to-face Topic Workshop which ends with a short introduction to introduce “Business & Operational Planning” and how practical work will be reviewed at the Topic Workshop at the end of the Session - including an assignment if appropriate.
The first e briefing on Business Planning includes 9 learning bites covering:

4. Planning Cycles
5. Marketing Planning
6. Performance Assessment
7. Stakeholders & Customers
8. Customer Satisfaction
9. Developing the Organization
After completing e briefings and projects/assignments/quizzes, participants then attend the Topic Workshop for knowledge reinforcement, practical work, review key issues and prepare for the next session on “Developing People”.
Learning Reports are always available showing current views of progress with details of hits, participation in e briefings, quiz and test results. Information is available for individuals to monitor their own performance and for line and training managers to track individual/group progress.
